At Anchoring Your Life Counselling, quality care is a priority and fees are structured to be both accessible and affordable. Prioritising well-being is a significant step and financial concerns should not be a barrier to seeking support. Fees are intentionally set at a fair and sustainable level - often comparable to or even lower than the out-of-pocket costs associated with a Mental Health Care Plan (not accessible for couples).

For those with private health insurance, rebates may be available (see details below - accessible for both couples and individuals). As these services are privately billed, no GP referral is required. This means there is no formal diagnosis recorded on health records and there is no limit to the number of sessions that can be attended.

Private Health CoverI am a Provider for a number of private healthcare funds. Members of private healthcare funds may be entitled to a rebate if you are eligible and will need to check this with your healthcare provider. BillingTo confirm your attendance at your appointment, payment is required by the invoice due date which is 3 business days in advance. Payment can be made online via debit/credit card or direct transfer and any eligible private health rebates are claimed directly by yourself to your provider.

CancellationsCommitting to counselling means committing to personal growth and goals. To support this process, a minimum of 48 hours' notice is required for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling. As the practice is closed on weekends, these days are not included in the notice period. Charging a cancellation fee is never ideal, but it is necessary to keep the practice sustainable. Giving adequate notice is a courtesy to both the practitioner’s time and other clients who may be waiting for an appointment.

TransparencyAt Anchoring Your Life Counselling, transparency is at the heart of my practice. I believe that clear communication and mutual understanding create a foundation of trust. To ensure this, all clients are informed upfront about business policies. Before beginning counselling, every client signs an agreement outlining services, payment and cancellation terms. This ensures that expectations are clear and you can feel confident knowing exactly how services operate. If you have any questions on receipt of these policies when booking, please don’t hesitate to ask.
